PROVERB PRACTICALS

Proverbs 2:21,  For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.

How often we see volunteer groups keeping the highways of this world clean; picking up the refuse of those who are careless.

These volunteers live in the community and desire to have it clean as they should and they expend effort to make it happen.

Why do they do this? They do this because they live there.

It is their home.

Their heart says, don't mess up my home but if you do I will clean it up!

These are the path keepers of this world.

That is their attitude, to have a clean home and a clean community.

And that is the attitude that this father desires for his son for the righteous dwell in a spiritual home, on a spiritual path.

Their energy is to be engaged in keeping the paths of that spiritual home for they shall remain in that home forever.

And by walking in the way of good men this father is assured that his son will be a keeper of the paths of the righteous.

Take care with whom you walk, son, for with whom you walk determines how well you will keep the paths of the righteous.

There are not many pathkeepers in the world, son, but there are a few and I expect you to walk with those few.

But contrary to the upright who remain in the land the father continues in:  Go to Proverbs 2:22
