PROVERB PRACTICALS

Proverbs 5:23,  He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.

How important are the vows of marriage!

How important is faithfulness to the mate that God has provided!

The father weighs faithlessness against the eternal results of that faithlessness and concludes that all is lost to the son by not being faithful to his mate.

The comparison is so greatly for faithfulness that it staggers the mind of the father to think of anyone choosing to be unfaithful.

God has told us in his word that without faith it is impossible to please him.

And it takes faith to be ONE in marriage.

It takes faith to do as God has said.

It takes listening to instruction and obeying that instruction because God has given that instruction for our own good.

But to reject that instruction is to die without instruction.

To be ravished with a strange woman and to embrace the boson of a stranger is to reject instruction and God’s way.

But this proverb also gives us a foreboding thought, that of dying without instruction.

Is there hope for those who leave light? This father thinks not.

Going away from light is going away on a one way street.

There is no turn around on this one way street.

This is what apostasy is about.

Those who are unfaithful with the strange woman whether she be a woman or the great whore of false religion or the world system will find no road back.

Being unfaithful with the strange woman is being unfaithful to God and when God is not pleased there is no hope.

So the conclusion of the matter is:

He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.
